Description We are looking for an experienced Deputy Tax Director to oversee tax planning, compliance, and structuring for our global aviation finance business. This role will require strategic thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure efficient tax operations. Based in Dallas, Texas, this position offers the opportunity to lead a team while managing complex international and domestic tax matters. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage tax planning, structuring, and compliance for the global aviation finance business, including partnerships and complex tax arrangements. u2022 Develop and implement tax strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. u2022 Supervise internal personnel and external service providers in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings. u2022 Provide expert advice on tax aspects related to aviation purchase, sale, finance, and leasing transactions. u2022 Collaborate with teams in accounting, finance, and operations to create solutions that balance risk management and tax benefits. u2022 Offer guidance on tax accounting, transaction calculations, partner economics, and distributions throughout transaction lifecycles. u2022 Respond to inquiries and notices from tax authorities, ensuring accurate and timely communication. u2022 Review and advise on tax provision calculations for entities operating in multiple jurisdictions. u2022 Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, keeping stakeholders informed of relevant updates. Requirements u2022 Strong expertise in tax structuring and compliance for international aviation finance and leasing transactions. u2022 Aircraft leasing or aviation industry experience required. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and international partnership and corporate tax matters, including private investment funds. u2022 Proven ability to manage and mentor team members while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills, capable of handling a demanding workload independently. u2022 Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in tax. u2022 Public tax accounting required. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and tax research tools. u2022 High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
