Mid Level Hydrology Hydraulics Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professionalservices consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver tojoin our collaborative and innovative water resources team.Responsibilities include: Analyzing dam and hydropower facilities, waterconveyance systems, levee systems, bridges/culverts, watersheds andfloodplains Construction document and cost development Writing reportsDirecting activities of other project staff Quality control reviewsProject management Client communication Designing water resources andother civil engineering projects Some travel will be required. Thesuccessful candidate must have: A bachelor's degree (or higher) incivil engineering or related engineering field from an accreditedcollege or university AND at least four (4) years of relevant hydrology& hydraulics experience PE license in any state with the ability toobtain in CA or WI within twelve (12) months of hire The ideal candidatewill have experience with any/all of the following: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS(including two-dimensional modeling), SWMM, HydroCAD or closely relatedsoftware Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling with FLOW-3D HYDRO,Ansys Fluent, or similar Spreadsheet and coding solutions forengineering applications including MS Excel, VBA, Python, MatLab, orsimilar AutoCAD Civil 3D ESRI GIS (ArcGIS Pro or similar) for dataediting and geoprocessing workflows Floodplain modeling/mappingincluding experience with FEMA Dam failure analysis and inundationmapping Watershed hydrology and open channel hydraulics Bridge/culvertH&H analysis and modeling Erosion protection design Dam and spillway H&Hanalysis and design Probable maximum flood (PMF) estimation Pump andpipeline design Coastal engineering Presentations to clients/ownersand/or at industry conferences Writing technical reports Leading tasks,providing guidance, and coordinating with others who assisted with thetask Project management If you have strong communication andorganizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well bothindependently and as part of a team, complete the online applicationprocess for this job posting at Mead & Huntproudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off,paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous companymatch, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistanceprogram.
