JOB REQUIREMENTS: Superintendent II SUMMARY Mortenson is currentlyseeking a Superintendent II that will be responsible for coordinating,planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, andcraft activities in a particular area of discipline, while developingand enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment,and inspections support the project schedule Review construction andcontract documents for completeness and constructability Coordinateplans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepanciesDevelop and manage project schedules, including three and six-weeklook-ahead schedules Develop a site logistics plan and manage theutilization of Mortenson tools and equipment Collaborate with projectpartner superintendents Conduct on-site project orientations,pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetings Superviseproject partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer,and terminate craft team members as needed Coach and mentor assistantsuperintendents, craft team members, and other project team membersEnsure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track workprogress and craft productivity Handle craft team member training andconduct career development discussions Effectively work and buildrelationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizationallevels Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching andfeedback, and manage performance Provide high-level management ofsafety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team membersRecognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and identifyopportunities to improve processes and procedures QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, orArchitectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years tradeexperience Minimum 8 years construction management or related experienceCurrent driver's license Ability to fulfill development to closeoutresponsibilities for multiple, complex projects Detail-oriented with theability to organize and manage multiple project tasks Basicunderstanding of construction law and generally accepted businesspractices Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Positive and professionalattitude with strong customer service skills Ability to interpret andcommunicate Mortenson policies Active listening skills and effectivecommunication including openness to diverse input and feedback Abilityto travel up to 100% Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity,inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans A few benefits offeredinclude: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional...
