The Physician is specialized in Internal Medicine.ThePhysician provides a wide range of evaluation, management, andprocedural services to GHC-SCW members and fee-for-service patientsrequesting care.The Physician serves under the general supervision anddirection of the Chief of Staff MD with additional accountabilities tothe Site Chief for the assigned clinic.The Physician is expected to usehis/her professional judgment in making recommendations to patients fortheir personal medical care. JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONSCurrent, unrestricted Wisconsin State Licensure as a Physician in aprimary care specialty required. Board certification is highlydesirable.Ability to become Board Certified within six (6) months ofemployment. Knowledge and/or experience in managed health care deliveryrequired. Ability to maintain currency in area of expertise in primarycare field. Current valid Federal Controlled Substance registration(DEA) Certificate. Possession of or eligibility for a valid HealthcareProvider CPR/AED certificate is required. Employee must obtaincertification within four (4) months of employment. Medical managementskills such as team building, HR management including conflictmanagement, performance appraisal, coaching, and utilization managementtechniques required or the willingness to acquire through job trainingrequired. Ability to work within a team capacity required. Excellentwritten, verbal and non-verbal communication and interpersonal skillsrequired in order to project a professional image to interactcourteously and effectively with patients, the public, staff and othersrequired. Ability to be culturally sensitive and to work with a diversepatient population. Ability to provide leadership and to delegaterequired.
