JOB REQUIREMENTS: Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin.BETTER TOGETHER Under the general supervision and direction of theEnrollment Supervisor, the Enrollment Specialist is responsible foraccurately and promptly processing and maintaining membership andemployer data for GHC-SCW members and group accounts, including thoserelated to Medicare and Medicaid. This role also involves participatingin premium billing processes and handling a high volume of inquiriesfrom employer groups, members, and providers concerning eligibilitystatus. A minimumof one (1) year of administrative office experience is required.Experience in enrollment, billing or in an insurance or HMO relatedenvironment is preferred. Extensive knowledge of and /or ability tolearn Medicare, Medicaid, Federal and State enrollment regulationsrequired. Knowledge of and /or ability to learn procedures and practicesrelated to HMO, medical services billing and enrollment, and knowledgeof and /or ability to learn insurance enrollment software such as EPICis required. Knowledge of computers including ability to use varioussoftware packages such as MS Office Suite, email, and scheduling isrequired. Experience in the operation of a PC, and 10-key adding machineis preferred. Ability to prioritize workload during heavy workloadperiods is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and inwriting is required. Ability to maintain patient confidentialityrequired. Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA requirements. Excellentcustomer service skills and the ability to work with diverse populationsare required, including strong listening skills both on the telephoneand in person. Ability to work independently is required. Ability tofile numerically and alphabetically is required. Ability to analyze,write, plan, explain and investigate is required.
