Put your Assembly skills to use in Pittsburgh PA Please send me your resume as the next step Job Location : Pittsburgh PA Zip Code 15238 Hours: Monday u2013 Thursday 5:30am u2013 3:50pm 4 x 10-hour shifts Duration : Temp to Hire potential Wages : Based on skills and experience $18.00 Manufacturing Assembler : Successfully completes all aspects of assembly, test, and refurbishment on basic to intermediate level electro-mechanical devices as required. u2022 Basic knowledge of how to follow and understand a variety of instructions including: work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, sketches, assembly operations sheets. u2022 Will need to follow written and/or verbal instructions to construct electro-mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and components in a regulated environment. u2022 Perform in-process quality checks on product, including visual inspections, to ensure product meets required specifications. Identify and communicate any defects. u2022 Use testing equipment to ensure product is within documented specifications and utilize inspection tools to verify product specifications. u2022 Maintains a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. u2022 Attends required training and follows site, safety, and security policies, procedures, and practices. u2022 Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to floor leadership. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment as required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries. u2022 Suggest improvements that contribute to improved quality, increased productivity and/or improved work environment. u2022 Ability to support and provide training and guidance to new assemblers and cross-training employees on assemblies of various complexity. u2022 Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, special products, and data collection. u2022 Participates in production meetings and reports out on-line exceptions and metrics to leadership. u2022 Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, with potential for overtime as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Education / Experience: u2022 High School Diploma/GED u2022 1 - 2 years of manufacturing, technical service/support, or assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: u2022 Able to demonstrate use of and navigate Windows OS and MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. u2022 Able to use laptops, touchscreen computers, and related electronic devices. Skills / Competencies: u2022 Ability to perform technical writing both handwritten and digital (i.e., email) u2022 Able to adapt quickly to fast-paced changing situations. u2022 Proven sound judgment, continuous improvement, and customer focus. u2022 Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow assemblers, technicians, engineers, and supervisors as required. Preferred Skills: u2022 Experience with electronic assembly instructions and guided work instructions, and/or ERP systems preferred. u2022 Experience working in a Manufacturing, Production or Warehouse environment. u2022 Experience working with tools, building components. u2022 Coachable, trainable, and adaptable to changing business needs.
