JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an Estimator IIwho will be responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling datain order to produce project estimates; for smaller projects, thisposition will also prepare the full estimate. RESPONSIBILITIES CreateProject Estimates Complete quantity takeoffs and summations of materialsSolicit trade partners, obtain bid estimates and time projections forpreparing vendor proposal comparisons and estimate summary sheets Helpin preparing, organizing, and coordinating Request for Proposaldocuments and schedules, utilizing schedule information to estimateGeneral Contractor's and other schedule-driven items Determine allpricing options and the appropriate price for the project Support leadestimator in data input into estimating software program(s) Performarchive filing and historical cost data gathering Participate in planand estimate review meetings, other project review meetings, and siteinvestigations, as needed Support lead estimator in gatheringinformation from local government and private entities that may affectproject (i.e. permits, hearings, etc.) Help manage Addendum log anddocuments from customers/clients Provide direction to new Estimators andEngineers as they join the team Solicit new bidders when needed, andgather necessary documents for inclusion in future projects Will providetraining to other estimators and interns QUALIFICATIONS Associate's orbachelor's degree in Estimating, Mechanical, Civil or ElectricalEngineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experienceMinimum three year's construction operations experience, includingexposure to materials management and project operations Currentdriver's license Detail orientation sufficient to organize and managemultiple project tasks Applicable mathematical skills Familiarity withbuilding/estimating techniques and software: ISqFt, ICE/Bid2Win,On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam/PDF, Google Earth Proven positive andprofessional attitude, and strong customer service skills Ability tointerpret and communicate Mortenson policies A few benefits offeredinclude: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional costvision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generousMortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employerpaid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool andconcierge with extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursementAdoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay rangefor this role is $91,700 - $123,800.
