Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive anddetail-oriented Programmerto drive continuous improvement initiativesand ensure product and process quality in our manufacturing operations.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems,root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing principles, with a passionfor solving problems and improving performance. Global Power Componentssupplies fabricated metal enclosures, tanks, and accessories to theelectrical power industry. This role is responsible for the heartbeat ofthe plant; programming jobs for eight different cutting machinesincluding Amada Fiber Lasers, Turret punch presses, and plasma cuttingtables. Role and Responsibilities Organize CAD files from designengineers. Use SigmaNest software to create cut packages. Use toolswithin Sigmanest to; Maximize utilization Increase use of remnants Useavailable stock material Keep multiple cutting machines organized andbalanced based on machine capabilities and material properties.Creatively solve production-related issues through nesting processes.Select machine and tooling configurations to manufacture parts costeffectively. Respond to requests for rework. Communicate effectively andprofessionally with stakeholders; support production-related prioritiesand deadlines. REQUIREMENTS Experience with SigmaNest software.Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office platforms. Experienceoperating CNC equipment cutting sheet/plate is a plus. Experience withAutoCad &/ Solidworks is a plus. Knowledge of metal cutting, dimensionaltolerancing, cutting geometry, and tooling. Must pass competency testand pre-employment physical including drug screen.
