KPMG is currently seeking aManaging Director and Associate General Counsel, Lead Audit Counsel tojoin our Office of the General Counsel.Responsibilities: Serve as aprimary OGC contact for leadership of the Audit and Assurance Practiceon legal and regulatory matters relating to the provision ofprofessional services; advise the other two professional servicefunctions of KPMG (Tax and Advisory) regarding similar matters asneeded, including the resolution of potential disputes Organize the workof Practice Advisory Group to support the Audit and Assurance PracticeStay current on legal and regulatory developments impacting the auditprofession and advise the Audit and Assurance Practice of suchdevelopments Support the development of comment letters and guidance forAudit and Assurance PracticeQualifications: Minimum of at least 15 yearsof experience in well-regarded law firm(s), government agencies, orin-house legal department; JD or LLM from an accredited law school andlicensed to practice law in the U.S., including in the state in whichhis/her office is located Deep experience with civil litigation andregulatory investigations relating to the audits of public and privatecompanies and advising and counseling the profession on legal andregulatory matters, including through the provision of training;knowledge of securities laws, rules and regulations, including thosethat relate to the audit profession also required Ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with consistentlyhigh-quality deliverables and results; strategic thinking in sensitiveand complex...
