Summary: Meta is seeking a product-focused strategist to join its Product Policy & Strategy team as a Product Policy Manager. In this role, you will provide direct policy counsel to product and engineering teams as they launch new multi-modal GenAI products and features. Youu2019ll achieve this by collaborating with a range of cross-functional stakeholders, including policy, product, legal, communications, design, and marketing teams.Successful candidates will have expertise in AI technologies and tech policy, with an understanding of the AI policy and regulatory landscape, including industry trends. They will also thrive in a fast-paced environment and share our vision of building the future of human connection through transformative technology. Required Skills: Product Policy Manager, GenAI Responsibilities: 1. Provide policy guidance that protects and promotes free expression in GenAI products/features, while minimizing business risks and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory and policy environments 2. Develop and implement forward-thinking policies to govern multi-modal GenAI products and features 3. Create clear risk assessments and build scalable frameworks to operationalize a consistent set of mitigations across a broad range of products 4. Work with software engineers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help product teams address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, and marketing considerations 5. Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues 6. Build and manage a team of individual contributors Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 7. Bachelor's degree in political science, policy, law, communications, computer science or related field 8. 8+ years of experience working in public policy, policy enforcement, law, government, national security, law enforcement, product design, product management or related field 9. Understanding of AI policy and technology policy, including key stakeholders, research initiatives, and relevant industry trends 10. Experience working autonomously and cross-functionally to develop policies and apply analytical thinking to solve ambiguous, complex problems 11. Experience with consensus building in a highly matrixed environment Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 12. 10+ years of experience and a Masteru2019s degree or PhD in political science, policy, law, computer science or related field 13. Experience developing policies for governing multi-modal (image, video, audio) generative AI products 14. Possess communication skills with demonstrated experience communicating with product managers, engineers, researchers, and executives 15. Proficiency in crafting formal policy documentation for a wide-ranging audience 16. Experience advising on AI technologies and other online products and platforms in a product policy role 17. Experience dealing with escalations 18. Experience articulating policies and their reasoning to various audiences effectively 19. Experience in adversarial simulation and red-teaming methodologies 20.
