JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Under the direction of the PurchasingSupervisor, the Senior Buyer - North America is responsible forpurchased items sourced from USA, Canada, & MX. This role assures thatproper controls are in place to ensure appropriate purchasing practicesare maintained to service customers. The Senior Buyer - North America isresponsible for assuring the purchase of quality and cost-effectiveproducts and services. This position controls inventory levels, purchaseprice variances, inventory turns and on time delivery. The SeniorBuyer - North America also maintains and updates the necessary systemsand processes currently in place. Essential Functions: Perform NorthAmerica purchasing including USA, Canada, & MX Perform MRP purchasingand forecast analysis Buying limit $15000 Use target inventory reportsto assist in determining order quantities. Evaluate vendors. Negotiatecosts. Control purchase price variance. Control inventory levels toachieve desired turns. Oversee response to expedites. Review past dueorders. Coordinate request for quotes. Continuous improvement ofForecast Vs Actual demands Purchase items assigned on a timely basis.Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton' s IATF16949/ISO14001certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, workinstructions and required documentation. Recommend improvements andimplement upon approval. Other duties assigned: May assist in QualitySystem documentation and revisions. Make recommendations towardcontinuous improvement. Participate in company-wide training programsdirectly related to purchasing techniques. Train and assist as needed.Obtain MSDS sheets, NAFTA, and other related documents that pertain tomaterials Other duties may be assigned. Microsoft Excel MicrosoftOutlook BI Tool Qualifications: Associates degree required. 5-7 years'experience in the purchasing field, preferably in a manufacturingsetting. Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices. MRP buyingknowledge. Proficient with Microsoft products and ERP systems. CPMcertification preferred. International buying experience preferred.
