Description The Program Intern is a Limited TermOpportunity for students through structured intern programs at anaccredited college/university and follows the guidelines of an agreementor learning plan. Under supervision, the Program Intern maintains a safeand therapeutic environment, while performing work involving the careand treatment to children, adolescents, and adults; and performs otherduties as required. Essential Duties and responsibilities: This list ofduties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded toinclude other duties and responsibilities, as management may deemnecessary from time to time. Gathers information and assists inassessing problems and needs of family members. Establishes andmaintains effective public and working relationships. Provides servicesto clients in the home, school, and community as part of maintaining asmall caseload. Establishes and maintains files and records of progressnotes, correspondence, and case histories. Attends and participates inagency meetings and staff development programs. Works toward and obtainsCCS certification. Receives training in a variety of evidence basedpractices, including MI, TIC, PCP, and DBT skills. Observes and recordscustomers' behavior and offers input concerning the development andfollow through of treatment plans, alongside experienced staff.Transports clients from their home to a location in the community, asneeded. Performs other duties as required.
