Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a motivated and analytically driven Open Architecture (OA) Mission Systems Analyst to support an advanced air platform program focused on achieving and sustaining national air dominance. As part of MTSI's commitment to delivering innovative engineering services and technology solutions, this role will support mission engineering, modeling and simulation, and data-driven analysis efforts that inform mission systems architecture and investment decisions.This position is well suited for an early-career engineer or analyst interested in mission systems, modeling and simulation, and open architecture concepts supporting complex, mission-critical environments.ResponsibilitiesSupport Mission Systems Mission Increment Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by analyzing Mission Threads and Mission Engineering Threads from a mission systems perspectiveAssist in development of mission systems architectural recommendations informed by Return on Investment (RoI) and trade study analysisSupport modeling and simulation efforts, including simulation environment architecture development and model development and integrationAssist with integration and analysis of models representing aircraft systems, mission systems, armament, and complex battlespace environmentsSupport development of standard simulation interfaces and coordination with simulation, analysis, and flight simulator development teamsScope and support operations analysis studies to inform mission capability development and decision makingBuild mission vignettes and scenarios within modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM, NGTS, or similar frameworksDevelop scripts and analytical tools as required for data reduction, post-processing, and analysisCommunicate analytical results and findings to internal and external stakeholders to support technical and programmatic decisionsSupport Government and industry teams through technical planning, design reviews, test reviews, and technical assessmentsDevelop and support technical briefings for a range of audiences, including senior technical and leadership stakeholdersSupport mission capability development across all phases of acquisition, including Technology Maturation, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production, and TestQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline2+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, modeling and simulation, operations analysis, or related analytical effortsFamiliarity with mission systems concepts, systems engineering fundamentals, or modeling and simulation methodologiesExperience or coursework involving data analysis, scripting, or technical modeling (academic or professional)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearlyDemonstrated willingness to learn, operate in a dynamic environment, and solve complex mission-focused problemsDesiredExperience using modeling and simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, NGTS, or similar environmentsFamiliarity with mission thread analysis, mission engineering concepts, or systems-of-systems analysisExposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies or tools such as CameoFamiliarity with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) or open architecture conceptsFamiliarity with agile development tools such as the Atlassian SuiteClearance and Travel Requirements:Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilitySituational telework onlyTDY travel approximately 20 percent (about one trip per month)#LI-ZS1#ONSITE#Dragons#Rudy#YellowHammerInteresting Work:Our co-workers support some of the
