Our West Geography is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in our Los Angeles or San Francisco office. We use the latest design technologies and analytic methods to deliver projects. Sustainability, carbon reduction, and resilience are key features of our projects. We are looking for a Senior Engineer who will take the lead in design and construction for a wide range of Data Center Projects. The opportunity u2022 Lead the design of electrical systems on medium to large-scale complex projects (data center) u2022 Mentor and supervise junior staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams maximizing your experience at the local, regional, and global levels. u2022 Prepare and review construction documents, drawings and specifications. u2022 Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences. u2022 Lead projects and work closely with project managers to deliver quality work u2022 Connect solutions/ideas to bigger picture project goals. u2022 Client facing with Owner, Architect and Contractor. u2022 At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective u2013 in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Is this role right for you? u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in electrical or architectural engineering u2022 Minimum 6 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings or infrastructure projects. u2022 Ability to lead the electrical discipline as lead electrical designer for projects with good organization skills u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working. u2022 Ability to present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences u2022 Experience with 3D BIM software u2013 preferably Revit MEP u2022 Experience with power system modeling using SKM or similar software. Preferred Skills u2022 Professional Engineering License in US u2022 Ability to lead projects of varied scales. Options for alternative schedules and the ability to work outside of the office for a portion of your workweek are available Los Angeles Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $129,150 to $161,450 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
