Description: The Role: As the group sales manager, you will embody the ethos of the Miraval wellbeing brand, be a competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The ideal candidate specializesin selling guest rooms, meeting space, and other Miraval services. This includes managing accounts, conducting site inspections, soliciting, and generating business.It is pivotal that this candidatealso works as a team player with the sales and events staff and is in close contact with the assigned Coordinator and other support staff. With a proven track record of revenue-growing sales tactics, the ideal candidate challenges norms and welcomes new and unique sales models within the wellbeing resort industry revenue-forward prospecting tactics. Reporting to the Group Sales Director, this position is a full-time salary position that is located at the resort. Specific Duties: u00b7 Shows enthusiasm and is personally motivated from within, as opposed to outside stimulus u00b7 Maintains accurate, correct, and complete records of all transactions and contracts within sales files and Envision edits u00b7 Keeps a clean record of the sales process within the Group Sales Booking comments and actively uses the Envision Trace System u00b7 Consistently follows up on customer inquiries and phone messages within required response times u00b7 Meets and exceeds standards for customer follow-up with paperwork and requests u00b7 Maintain strong customer relationships u00b7 Proper utilization of the envision trace system to manage solicitation efforts as well as account management u00b7 Demonstrates a consistently high level of participation in meetings and brainstorming sessions u00b7 Meets project deadlines consistently and completes assigned projects u00b7 Sets own goals and objectives and strives to complete each on time u00b7 Individual maintains complete and accurate knowledge of their resort and group offerings u00b7 Works side by side with Sales, Event and Marketing Staff u00b7 Works closely with Revenue Management to quote group business based on budget and hotel need periods u00b7 Produces sales contracts and manages correspondence u00b7 Demonstrates awareness of established goals for property and the role played in Sales process to achieve and/or exceed these goals u00b7 Conducts hotel site tours u00b7 Participates in events as designated by Director including resort familiarization trips u00b7 Any other duties as assigned by Director of Sales We offer excellent benefits: + Complimentary room nights + Unlimited discounted and Friends & Family Room Rates + Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision Insurance on 30 th day of employment + 401K with company match + Generous Paid Time Off policy + Paid sick time + Paid Family Bonding Time and Adoption Assistance + Tuition & Wellbeing Reimbursement + Free colleague meals during shift + Employee Stock Purchase Plan + Access to resort facilities including spa services, programs, hiking trails and gym _Exact benefit package is contingent on status_ Qualifications: To be successful: u00b7 Embraces the ethos and culture of the Miraval wellbeing brand u00b7 University degree or diploma qualification in Sales or Marketing and/or Hospitality or Tourism Managementor industry experience equivalent u00b7 Minimum 3 yearsu2019 manager experience within a 4-5 star hotel sales environment u00b7 Understands that the Miraval clientele may vary from traditional hotels in regard to target audiences, size of group and intention of visit u00b7 Excellent emotional intelligence u00b7 Effective as a team player within the Sales Department, as well as the hotel in general u00b7 Ability to easily and willingly adapt to a change of policy, procedures, and work environment u00b7 Proven track record in achieving targets and yield management u00b7 Strong written and verbal communication skills u00b7 Passion for direct sales and willingness to jump in to assist to team as needed u00b7 Demonstrates active listening skills with customers and fellow employees u00b7 Accurately documents, files, and provides required documentation for proper implementation of work; i.e., office sales files, GSB's, lost business reports, solicitation reports, roadmaps, etc. u00b7 Has a pro-active approach and anticipates guest needs u00b7 Embodies Miravalu2019s core values of empathy, inclusion, respect, integrity and experimentation Primary Location: US-AZ-Tucson Organization: Miraval Arizona Resort and Spa Pay Basis: Yearly Job Level: Full-time Job: Sales Req ID: TUC001953Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
