The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to be part of the team in developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. As a Systems Engineer on the NGI program, you should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, decomposition, allocation, traceability, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test. Some of the roles and responsibilities you will leverage your expertise and talent to accomplish include, but are not limited to, the following: u2022 Support major program reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR u2022 Participate in specification and interface development/documentation, and support the development of verification plans u2022You may also have the opportunity to participate in system-level analyses in support of mission planning/execution and tests at various test ranges. Some travel will be required ~10% To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Drive the development of hardware within cost and schedule constraints u2022 3+ years of professional experience. u2022 While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. u2022 Experience with circuit design, troubleshooting and / or circuit analysis. u2022 Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship. Desired Skills: u2022 Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems u2022 Work under only general direction. u2022 Flight hardware experience u2022 Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications, tools, and procedures u2022 Hands-on hardware experience u2022 Experience working with suppliers u2022 Strong communication skills and able to effectively work with customer and suppliers. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
