Job Summary Thisposition is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard roomingresponsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions andcarries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by amedical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patientfeel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout thepatient's visit. What you will do Room patients, perform anddocument vital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate providerschedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts. Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure orcertification. Prepare patients and assist medical providers within-office procedures and prepare and administermedications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to bewithin infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medicalsupplies for each patient room. Education Qualifications Graduate ofan approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.Required Experience Qualifications Minimum of 160 hours of directpatient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPNwork experience or completion of student clinical rotations. Required Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred Currentclinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred Skills andAbilities Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practicalnurse or medical assistant to provide patient care Knowledge ofmedical equipment and instruments to administer patient care Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safework environment Fosters work and patient relationships throughexcellent interpersonal skills and behaviors. Ability to work understressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energylevel Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
