DescriptionAs a Workplace Health & Safety Real Estate Due Diligence & Remediation Project Manager, you will be responsible for you will be responsible for supporting the team in partnering with various stakeholders around the world to support real estate transactions. You will perform transaction related due diligence, scope and manage remediation projects, support development of Amazon standards and policy, and implement the requirements of the program. In this role, you will assist in managing these programs at the corporate level and ensure that risks and liabilities are appropriately evaluated and mitigated as a part of our transactions. To be successful in this role, you will possess organizational and communication skills and be able to send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You possess site assessment and investigation program knowledge, understand the regulatory environment, and demonstrate this expertise when working with internal and external teams Key job responsibilities u2022 Support the Senior Manager in providing a single point of contact to transaction teams for their understanding and execution of Amazonu2019s due diligence program. u2022 Complete reviews of due diligence-related information including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, historical reports, regulatory agency assessments, health-risk assessments and vapor mitigation plans. u2022 Team on evaluating and investigating potential exposure risks from building materials or property conditions including but not limited to asbestos containing materials, lead-based paint, and vapor intrusion. u2022 Scope and manage phase II site investigations. u2022 Perform Vapor Intrusion Screenings and Health Risk Assessments with support from subject matter experts. u2022 Draft mitigation plans for construction management of contaminated soil and groundwater as required during our renovation activities. u2022 Liaise with Real Estate, Legal, Construction and Launch teams about required mitigation and ongoing oversight and management so that business may use challenging sites. u2022 Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with property owners and their representatives, consultants, and legal advisors to maintain and develop professional and effective relationships. u2022 Provide review and feedback for work performed by contractors, developers, and consultants. u2022 Demonstrate that you can prioritize and advance multiple projects and assignments concurrently. Basic Qualifications- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent - Experience in commercial transactions - Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent - 5+ years of due diligence & remediation experience or risk management or contamination management - A Bacheloru2019s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or related field of study. - Possess knowledge and experience of ASTM Phase I standards and other environmental protocols, understand core business and legal concepts of business transactions, with continued interest in working on transactions.Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree or equivalent - Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization - Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across multiple organizations - Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Exceptional organizational skills. - Additional language fluency is a bonus. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
