Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Syracuse, New York. Responsibilities: u2022 Process a high volume of vendor invoices with precision and efficiency. u2022 Match, batch, and code invoices in alignment with company policies. u2022 Maintain detailed and accurate vendor records while resolving discrepancies or payment issues. u2022 Oversee timely check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger balances with the general ledger. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. u2022 Adapt to varying client systems and workflows to meet project needs. Requirements u2022 2u20134 years of recent experience in accounts payable roles. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or NetSuite. u2022 Solid understanding of general accounting principles. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. u2022 Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. u2022 Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and environments. u2022 An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. u2022 Flexibility to work onsite based on client requirements.
