We Commit Responsible for the maintenance and repairof commuter rail coaches and locomotives in compliance with federalregulations and company requirements. Key Accountabilities: Mustcomplete all work in compliance with FRA, MBTA and Keolis CommuterServices standards. Maintain qualifications to perform Car Inspectorassignments to overhaul, test and repair railroad passenger coaches andnon-revenue equipment. Responsible for, but not limited to welding, airbrakes, truck work, fabrication, mill work, painting and ply with all related safety rules and procedures and report allhazards as required. Attend and participate in all assigned training,specifically safety and security related. Must document job tasks orwork performed manually or electronically and submit as required. Otherduties as assigned. Knowledge and Experience: Vocational or technicalhigh school diploma, GED or equivalent required. A certificate from atwo (2) year mechanical technical school is preferred. Minimum of Two(2) years practical experience in a mechanical field. Work Performance:A satisfactory prior work record reflecting good performance Knowledgeof FRA Rule 238 brake certification and blue flag rules is preferred.Familiarity with railroad rolling stock and a railroad work environmentis preferred. Demonstrated ability in the selection and use of propertools, methods and equipment to performed assigned tasks. Demonstratedmechanical experience and ability to inspect and repair all mechanicalequipment. Demonstrated knowledge of general welding practices. Weldingperformance demonstration is required by candidates that entail making ashielded metal arc weld (SMAW) or flux core arc weld (FCAW) fillet weldof a specified dimension [1/4
