Requisition ID: 177658 Job Level: Senior Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Building Group Department: Estimating Market: Building Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview Kiewit Building Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Preconstruction Manager with a focus in complex healthcare projects up to $500+ million. projects. This role is responsible for managing the estimating, budgeting, and planning phases of healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare construction, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset. Duties will include, but are not limited to leading a team of estimators, participate and implement win strategies, identify and provide risk mitigation strategies, presentation of estimates to Executive Management, clients and 3rd party cost consultants The candidate shall have a thorough understanding and ability to build cost models, managing self-perform estimates, design-assist trade partners and the design build. conceptual estimates should demonstrate a proven track record of providing preconstruction services, experience managing the design-assist and design-build processes. District Overview Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing hospitals and medical related buildings and renovations, science and technology facilities, office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, transportation terminals, manufacturing, retail and special-use facilities and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Its capabilities include general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. Kiewit also provides fast, accurate preconstruction project management services. Location Omaha NE or Lone Tree Colorado. If candidates are not local to the area, relocation will be required and assistance will be provided. Responsibilities u2022 Lead preconstruction activities for healthcare and other large complex projects from concept through GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price). u2022 Leading a team of estimators and engineers in large pursuits. u2022 Task management, strategies, resource leveling and responsible for estimate close out processes. u2022 Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to develop accurate and comprehensive budgets and schedules. u2022 Leading teams in multiple estimates and pursuits. u2022 Manage and mentor preconstruction and estimating staff, fostering professional development and technical excellence. u2022 Communicate and present detailed estimates to project stakeholders. u2022 Coordinate with operations and business development teams to support proposals and presentations. u2022 Analyze project documents to evaluate risk and facilitate win strategies. u2022 Reviewing and assisting with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for other large complex projects. u2022 Become proficient in Kiewitu2019s proprietary estimating platform., u201cIn Eight Estimateu201d. u2022 Maintain current knowledge of healthcare construction codes, standards, and trends. u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable scope coverage. u2022 Provide leadership and strategy in subcontractor and vendor selection process. u2022 Implement District Estimating Programs, Management reviews and activities. Includes implementing company policies and procedures. #LI-SL1 Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. u2022 Minimum of 8-10 years of preconstruction or estimating, with at least 5 years as the preconstruction manager in healthcare and or other large complex projects. u2022 Proven track record of successfully delivering preconstruction services for hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, or similar. u2022 Ability to lead large estimates and lead multiple teams. u2022 Strong understanding of healthcare-specific building systems, codes, and compliance requirements (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI Guidelines). u2022 Passion for delivering exceptional preconstruction and estimating services. u2022 Strong communication skills both in person and virtual. Strong work ethic and self-starter is a must. u2022 Ability to utilize computers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel, On Screen takeoff, other estimating software programs. Willingness to learn new systems. Kiewit utilizes a proprietary estimating program, u201cInEight Estimateu201d. u2022 Strong organizational and time management skills. u2022 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. u2022 Ability to work with limited instruction and implement successful action items. u2022 Applicant must be proficient with conceptual, parametric, hard bid and self-perform estimating. u2022 Expert in alternative project delivery methods (e.g., Design Build, Design Assist, IPD) u2022 Professional certifications (e.g., CHC, DBIA) accreditations preferred. u2022 Results orientated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. u2022 Must be detail oriented and technically sound with good communication skills. u2022 Interested in professional development and continued education. #LI-TD28 Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
