Position Description: US Citizenship and Active Top Secret Clearance are required. CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Cyber Capability Developer (SME) to support mission-critical defense and intelligence initiatives. This senior-level role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced cyber capabilities that enhance national security operations. The SME will lead technical efforts across offensive and defensive cyber domains, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure solutions meet DoD compliance and operational standards. Your future duties and responsibilities: u2022 Lead the design and development of offensive and defensive cyber tools and capabilities. u2022 Architect and implement cybersecurity systems tailored to DoD mission environments. u2022 Conduct vulnerability analysis, capability prototyping, and secure software development. u2022 Utilize platforms such as Splunk Enterprise Security and Microsoft Sentinel for threat detection, analytics, and monitoring. u2022 Collaborate with system engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to align cyber capabilities with operational goals. u2022 Ensure all developed solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and RMF standards. u2022 Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior developers and analysts. u2022 Support cyber threat intelligence integration and incident response planning. u2022 Maintain documentation and contribute to capability lifecycle management. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: u2022 Active Top Secret clearance. u2022 10+ years of experience in cyber operations, software development, or cybersecurity engineering. u2022 Bacheloru2019s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related STEM field. u2022 Expertise in Splunk Enterprise Security and other SIEM platforms. u2022 Strong coding and systems engineering skills across multiple languages and environments. u2022 Deep understanding of modern cyber threats, defense mechanisms, and offensive techniques. u2022 Familiarity with NIST RMF, DoD 8140/8570, and cybersecurity compliance standards. u2022 Experience developing capabilities for cloud, endpoint, and network environments. Preferred Qualifications u2022 Certifications such as: o CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GMON, CSSLP u2022 Experience with: o Microsoft Sentinel, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud o XACTA, Retina, HBSS, ACAS u2022 Knowledge of NIST NICE Work Roles: o Defensive Cybersecurity (PD-WRL-001) o Incident Response (PD-WRL-002) o Cyber Threat Intelligence (PD-WRL-006) o Cyber Investigation (PD-WRL-007) u2022 Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver mission-aligned solutions.
