Material Specialist

JOB REQUIREMENTS: WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking aMaterial Specialist in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This positionis represented by Local No. 420 IUOE. The Material Specialist isresponsible for warehouse activities within a distribution center aswell as at remote warehouses. Pay & Benefits: Starting pay is $30.21 plus a shift premiumof $.83 per hour and offers regular increases per the bargainingagreement. Core activities includeresponsibilities related to material procurement, material handling,material movement, materials coordination, material arrangement andmaterials disbursement. Employee must be able to work as part of a teamalong with the ability to work independently at remote Company locationswhere independent decision making is critical. Attention to detail iscritical to all duties performed. This position will be utilizing anarray of equipment from computers to material handling equipment such asforklifts, cranes and other power industrial trucks. JobResponsibilities Perform all duties related to warehouse and storageyard operations Fulfill daily orders, receive, put away, restock anddisburse materials utilizing the current ERP system Pre-load/stagematerial. Inspect trailers for correct loading procedures Requisitionand assist with procurement process when necessary Recognize and reportdamage and/or incorrect shipment of material Evaluate, prepare andaccount for returned materials including jobsite and field returnsIdentify and reclaim materials fit to be returned to stock or scrapped,sold or another means of disposition Assist with inventory accuracyConducts physical inventory counts Resolve problems with storagelocations and labeling Initiate, investigate, verify, report and correctdiscrepancies Assist the Materials Management group in maintainingadequate inventory levels Ensure material shelf life is regularlyupdated Maintain records Ensure proper accounting is applied to alltransactions Perform required housekeeping tasks.
