THE WORK Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect with demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; who selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills. This role will be focused on shaping the vision for future development based on our customer's mission needs. It will require a willingness to learn and understand our customers current architecture and work closely with our customers and mission partners to plan out how we can evolve our design to meet their needs while staying within their financial and schedule guardrails. The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering, Test and architecture background as well as a deep understanding of ground based mission management software design. You will be working with an small agile team with regular collaboration with a broad group of partnered stakeholders. This is a MID CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5 years of professional experience and a BS degree. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors degree in an Engineering or STEM discipline or equivalent experience. u2022 Ability to work with limited supervision while leading teams to include collaborating across the IC environment. u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of Software and Systems Architecture and Systems Integration and Test best practices. u2022 Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills. u2022 An active TS/SCI Clearance is required for consideration this role with the ability to obtain a poly. Desired Skills: u2022 Experience identifying, defining, developing, assessing, and demonstrating integrated mission solution architectures spanning Satellite Ground Systems and missions. u2022 Experience utilizing Splunk to analyze log data and test results. u2022 Automated Software Testing Experience u2022 Experience with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD best practices u2022 Experience with cloud based technologies and services with a tech stack that includes docker, Kubernetes and Rancher u2022 Experience from a test and requirements verification environment; experience in Ground Systems including development of automated tests, test planning and procedure development process, test execution, analysis, and anomaly resolution u2022 Previous experience with GeoInt missions and segments u2022 Experience performing in an Architect role on large and complex mission development efforts #LMSpaceSoftwareEng Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
