About the role As a Senior Automation Specialist with GenAI , you will make an impact by designing and implementing advanced automation solutions that leverage Generative AI, conversational AI, and modern testing frameworks. You will be a key member of our delivery team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency in quality assurance processes. In this role, you will: u00b7 Develop and enhance scalable test automation frameworks using industry-leading tools. u00b7 Implement automation strategies for APIs, chatbots, and AI-driven solutions. u00b7 Integrate automation workflows with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise systems. u00b7 Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. u00b7 Apply GenAI and AI-driven tools to optimize testing processes and improve coverage. Based on this roleu2019s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hartford, CT-USA . What you need to have to be considered u00b7 3+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing. u00b7 Strong technical expertise in core programming concepts (Java OOPs, Data Structures) and ability to work with Java, JavaScript, or Python. u00b7 Hands-on experience implementing and enhancing test automation frameworks. u00b7 Proficiency with automation tools such as Hammer On Demand and Selenium. u00b7 Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA principles. u00b7 Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git). u00b7 Familiarity with BDD (Cucumber, SpecFlow) and TDD methodologies. u00b7 Expertise in Functional, Regression, Integration, and Performance Testing, including backend API and database testing. u00b7 Healthcare domain knowledge, including HIPAA compliance. u00b7 Exposure to GenAI and AI-driven tools for test automation. u00b7 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This will help you stand out + Hands-on experience testing chatbots and voice-based virtual assistants. + Familiarity with AI model evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score). + Experience with Agentic IDEs (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor) for automated test script optimization. + Proficiency in API testing (REST, SOAP). + Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud). + Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship _Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future_ We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until January 5 th ,2026 The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to 92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
