JOB REQUIREMENTS: Join Northwestern Mutual as a Mutual Fund Attorney:Shape the Future of Financial Security Are you a dynamic legalprofessional ready to make a meaningful impact in the investmentproducts space? Northwestern Mutual's Law Department is seeking anexperienced, independent, and agile attorney to join our InvestmentProducts and Advisory Services Team. You'll play a pivotal role insupporting our proprietary mutual fund complex-an essential investmentoption for our variable insurance products-and registered investmentadviser clients. This is your opportunity to work at the forefront offinancial innovation, collaborating with top compliance experts andbusiness leaders as we transform client experiences nationwide.WhatYou'll Do Lead and support the preparation of regulatory filings forour mutual funds and registered investment adviser, includingregistration statements, prospectus supplements, shareholder reports,proxy statements, and more. Develop and present materials for quarterlyBoard meetings, and record minutes for key committees. Drive sub-adviserdue diligence and onboarding, including contract negotiation and Boardcommunications. Analyze and implement SEC rule proposals, advisingbusiness partners and serving on strategic project teams. Supportcommittees across brokerage, proxy, derivatives, liquidity riskmanagement, and more. Contribute to the launch of new mutual funds andthe evolution of our investment products.What We're Looking For 3-5years of legal experience in mutual funds, investment advisers, andrelated regulatory filings-gained at a law firm, in-house, the SEC, or afund services provider. Expertise in securities/banking law for variableinsurance products, broker-dealers, or OCC-regulated banks is a plus.Proven experience with mutual fund Board governance, launching newfunds, and changing sub-advisers. Juris Doctorate and exemplary academicrecord; Wisconsin law license (or commitment to obtain within one year)is required.What Sets You Apart Exceptional communication, analytical,and presentation skills.
