Casting Machine Operator - Direct Hire

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: This individual will be responsiblefor achieving quality castings in the operation of a brass low-pressurecasting unit. The position will include programmed machine cycle start,monitoring of HMI controls/alarms, shot blasting mold and hand loadingof ingot bars in automated feeder. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensure that automated production equipment andmaterial specification are functioning within operating parameters ofthe process sheet. 2. Visual inspection of castings that meet foundrydepartment standards. 3. Observes machine alarms for malfunction andmakes adjustment to run at maximum efficiency of 80 sec/cycle and/ornotify casting lead person for adjustments. 4. Completes all productionpaperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance. 5.Identifies scrap and segregates it from production. 6. Performs moltenmetal furnace cleaning weekly. 7. Ability to do all job functions asoutlined in the functional job analysis.
