The Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Per Diem Clinician will provide community-based emergency mental health and substance use disorder services to individuals and families in crisis. The MCI Per DiemClinician will be available to provide interventions in the community (clients' homes, school, and other community-based settings), or at the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) site by client or family request. The MCI Per Diem Clinician is tasked with ensuring timely response to calls/requests for assessment and intervention and will coordinate with other CBHC services to ensure continuity of care and appropriate level of care/placement.Ensure a trauma-informed environment that promotes safety and recovery.Provide psychiatric and substance use evaluation of individuals and families in crisis in community, clinic, and residential settings.Provide crisis intervention services including crisis case management and short-term crisis counseling as follow-up from initial evaluation.Maintain linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution. Offer recommendations to clients regarding service options and support inaccessing.Perform warm hand offs to other services, full time MCI staff and clinicians, and care coordinationentities.Develop and maintain knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide otherclinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed.Maintain necessary documentation and records.Actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.Perform other duties as assigned. A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.Physical Effort:Direct Care Roles - Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer. Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways. Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living. Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. For positions in day programs or group residences, the ability to assist in routine living activities including cleaning, meal preparation, vacuuming, shoveling, and grocery shopping.Required Certifications/Trainings:CPR within 2 weeks of hire, First Aid within 2 weeks of hir, CPSS required within 6 months of hire; VBH NET required.Required Credentials/Licenses:LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC in state of service preferred, but not required.USD $25.00 - USD $87.00 /Hr.
