KPMG is currently seeking a Manager orSenior Manager, SALT M&A to join our State and Local Tax (SALT)practice.Responsibilities: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Tax andAdvisory team that focuses on delivering pre-transaction related Tax andFinancial due diligence, acquisition structuring and post transactionintegration services to buyers, primarily comprised of private equityclients, public corporations and commercial clients Examine tax laws andform position on the application of such laws to specific factspresented during the transaction Create Excel based spreadsheets tocalculate the amount of exposure or other tax liabilities (past,present, or future) associated with the transaction Draft due diligencereports and/or memorandums capturing areas of risk and addressing theapplication of law to facts Research and draft technical memorandaregarding income, and franchise tax questions Supervise, mentor, anddevelop staff; capitalize on opportunities to develop new clientrelationships with management personnel of acquired companies, and workto deliver SALT consulting services to such new clients AdditionalResponsibilities for Senior Manager: Participate in and contribute tomarket and business activities that are external to the firm whileproviding direction to and maintaining managerial accountability for ateam; act as a coach and mentor to other tax professionalsQualifications: Minimum five years of recent experience in providing taxresearch and...
