We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training.Service Technicians provide thorough service support for preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting & repairs and monitoring/testing that result in minimizing downtime, reducing costs and promoting our service and product capabilities. It is expected that this work be executed with a sense of urgency, while not compromising Epiroc's high quality standards.The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions, with occasional exposure to high, precarious places, noxious or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. Employees will be expected to sit for extended periods if needed, use hands to feel and reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in this role. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.Work Type: OnsiteResponsibilities:Level 1:Complete Pre-delivery Inspections (PDI) on machinesPerform routine preventative maintenance, use analytical skills to troubleshoot and repair all Epiroc products in accordance with manufacturer recommendationsEnsure the appropriate tools and equipment are on-site and properly maintainedCommunicate service and other relevant activities to the Service Coordinator in a complete and timely mannerUnderstand and adhere to Company safety and environmental requirements, including promoting and practicing proper safety procedures and correct use of PPE, safety is our first priority. Work sustainably, being conscious of the environmental impactMaintaini g courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all timesLevel 2:In addition to the tasks outlined in Level 1, the Level 2 technician will be responsible for:Take initiative to run diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes and initiate repairsAbility to work independently, exercising self-discipline with minimal supervision, including when performing troubleshooting on hydraulic and electrical repairsExecute diagnostics on malfunctioning components, use expertise to determine possible causes of failure, and perform repairs as requiredBe able to support varied activities, with simultaneous project and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentLevel 3:In addition to the tasks outlined in Level 1 and 2, the Level 3 technician will be responsible for:Test and document proper operating parametersComplete detailed failure analyses on all rebuilt components and provide details to determine the root cause of the failure or problem, identify corrective action and implement steps to prevent reoccurrence, initiate warranty process as neededServe as a subject matter expert for other service technicians, support with their training and developmentRequirements:Level 1:The successful candidate should have basic computer skills, be familiar with Epiroc equipment, and have prior work experience demonstrating a good work ethic and strong mechanical aptitude-including experience with industrial/commercial fluid power and low voltage electrical control systemsPossess own hand tools and can expand on personal tool inventory by purchasing additional tools referencing the required tool list provided by Epiroc, based on location requirementsComplete Company required trainings, including: TL1, PDI procedure, machine specifications, reading schematics within 3 months of hire, and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year of employment.Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or agree to complete the training program(s) needed to acquire the Training Certificates by date required by ManagerMaintain a valid driver's license; a good driving record is requiredTravel may be required in this position for training and/or assistance in other Service Centers or Competency CentersLevel 2:In addition to the experience in Level 1, the Level 2 technician should also have the following:Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or an equivalent of 2-5 years of relevant experienceWorking knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrain function and related componentsLevel 3:In addition to the experience in Level 1 and 2, the Level 3 technician should also have the following:Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or an equivalent of 5+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhauls, and repairs of a wide variety of hydraulic and power train componentsLevel will be determined based on selected candidate's relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the job.Join us, and be part of a diverse, innovative and highly collaborative team.An inclusive workplace that allows people to thrive.
