The Madisonoffice ofSmithGroupis looking for aMission Critical Electrical Engineerto joinour team. Working with us, you will: Perform analysis, design anddocumentation of building electrical systems for data centers includingpower distribution, Generators, UPS, grounding, and lighting systemsdesign. Experience with medium voltage (35-15KV) power systems is aplus. Independently provide the full range of electrical engineeringservices on small to medium-sized projects. Revise, review, andcoordinate construction documents. Mentor and train junior staff.Develop solutions to challenging electrical power distribution withintegrated architecture and engineering project design teams. Contributeto SmithGroup sustainable design initiatives by using a variety ofsoftware to perform electrical loads, short circuit analysis, generatorloads and lighting calculations. An ideal candidate has: A bachelor'sdegree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering orequivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience working as an electricalengineer designing electrical power distribution and lighting systemsfor new and renovated data centers. Additional experience in government,research labs, and higher education projects is a plus. LEED AP andEngineering-in-Training certification preferred, and in progress ofobtaining PE license. Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD, and MicrosoftOffice required. Desired experience with SKM systems.
