It is expected that the physician-scientistincumbent will successfully obtain ongoing extramural support to conductinvestigation in the area of Rheumatologic research with a preference inlupus and lupus nephritis. Educational innovation in lieu of research isacceptable and the expectation would be that grants and administrativeroles would buyout protected time within the first 3 years from date ofhire. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position mayrequire some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designatedcampus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at anoffsite, non-campus work location. This position has been identified asa position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selectedcandidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to beeligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and repeatedevery four years. Applicants for this position will be considered forthe titles: Professor (CHS) or Associate Professor (CHS) or AssistantProfessor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience andqualifications of the finalist. Key Job Responsibilities: The successfulapplicant will participate in administrative and committee work tosupport the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the Schoolof Medicine and Public Health.
