This position provides 3D CADand PDM systems support and training for the end user community atmultiple NATC locations, in alignment with newly developed designstandards and process flow. This role coordinates training methods,policies and procedures with other NATC locations. Key JobResponsibilities Actively monitors and continuously improves theproduction environment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, andscalability. Supports the PDM and CAD license management, upgrades,patch deployments and hardware requirements. Assist IT in deploymentplans. Supports implementationand maintenance of development and testenvironments along with IT. Maintains engineering systems andinfrastructure production environments to ensure that systems areperforming/monitoring. Identifies, automates, and develops processesalong with workflows and procedures as it relates to the use of CAD orPDM as well as other systems that support the engineering function andits requirements. Interfaces with IT to define requirements of the CADor PDM applications and implementation. Works with IT on any software orhardware installations. Defines the requirements and works with IT toenhance the various engineering electronic tools that will help increaseproductivity in the Engineering Departments. Provides helpdesk supportfor Engineering IT related issues including troubleshooting hardware andsoftware problems. Escalates issues to IT when required. Works toresolve any vendor software issues by verifying, documenting andtracking problems. Gathers required data (sample models, AVI's, etc.)and formulates and presents enhancement requests for submittal to thesoftware vendor or internal developer. Works with the vendor or internaldeveloper to expedite these requests and get them vestigates new application functionality, processes or workflows forreview. Evaluate new functions.
