Responsibilities:- Serve as Engineer of Record on highway and roadway design projects.- Lead and perform senior-level technical design tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards.- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering professional growth and development.- Assist with project management duties including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.- Support proposal development, including technical writing and scope definition.- Play an active role in business development, helping to identify and pursue new project opportunities in the Jacksonville and broader Florida market.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRAs offices to deliver successful project outcomes.Requirements:- A minimum of 16 years of experience in highway design- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program- P.E., registered in the state of Floridaor ability to obtain within 6 months- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures- Experience designing roadway projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic a plus- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, OpenRoads and AutoCAD- 3D design experience a plus- Experience with Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, P3, etc.) a plus- Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization- Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetings- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others- Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the company- Openness to utilizing and developing new technologies and approaches for performing workWhy Join WRA?At WRA, we value innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
