Research and Development Engineer (Infrared)

Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI) is seeking a motivated and skillful R&D Scientist/Engineer with expertise in infrared target signatures to support critical projects within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of EO/IR sensor data and phenomenology with a proven ability to model, simulate, and analyze infrared signatures of complexsystems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic R&D environment where innovation and collaboration are highly valued.Required Qualifications:U.S. CitizenBachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or PhysicsMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience in DoD or IC programsActive TS/SCI with willingness to complete a CI PolygraphExperience working with EO/IR sensor dataStrong knowledge of space-based EO/IR sensor phenomenologyProficiency in using high-fidelity IR signature modeling applicationsProven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced R&D environmentStrong communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersTeamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and departments, while also being self-sufficient when neededDesired Qualifications:Advanced experience in GEOINT processing research and developmentExtensive experience with DoD EO/IR sensor dataExpertise in modeling and simulating advanced foreign weapon systems' signatures6+ years of relevant experience in the fieldMaster's degree in Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or PhysicsActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph#LI-AC1#LI-OnsiteInteresting Work:Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.Values:Our first core value is that employees come first.
