Our staff leads the power markets engineering process and collaborates with Kiewitu2019s construction teams to approach construction-driven engineering with a focus on safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs that achieve client expectations and further Kiewitu2019s legacy of excellence. Location This position can be based in any of the following office locations: Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Raleigh, NC; Phoenix/Tempe, AZ; New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN; Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in office arrangement once the new office is established. Responsibilities u2022 Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams, or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems. u2022 Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards. u2022 Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion. u2022 Coordinate with other drafters, designers and other team members assigned to a project or task, and support work progress and results. u2022 Train and advise interns or new graduates Qualifications u2022 At least 3-10 yearsu2019 related design experience u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Drafting and Design or related discipline u2022 Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e-mail programs u2022 Knowledge of drafting software including MicroStation, Autodesk, SmartPlant #LI-SM1 Working Conditions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
