Legends Global /Moscone Center JOB POSTING POSITION: Traffic Controller FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly $25.83 to start REPORTS TO: Security Manager SUMMARY: R esponsible for ensuring safety and security by managing traffic flow at events, loading ramps, and driveways in order to keep everyone safe Legends Global has immediate openings for Traffic Controllers at the Moscone Center. RESPONSIBILITIES:u2022 Report to post in full uniform and ready to work.u2022 Oversee and institute daily driveway and ramp status.u2022 Assure smooth traffic flow at the loading ramps and driveways.u2022 Direct all deliveries to appropriate receiving points.u2022 Monitor assigned or permitted parking spaces and assure that there is no traffic or /parking congestion or unauthorized vehicles on the ramps or in the driveways.u2022 Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the facility through the ramps, and check credentials or identification of persons walking down the ramps, as directed by management.u2022 Maintain necessary records of ramp activity. Log in all vehicles entering the facility through the ramps, and check credentials or identification of persons walking down the ramps.u2022 Assure that vehicle passes are completed in full and placed inside the vehicle windshield.u2022 Provide guests and clients with facility information.u2022 All other duties as assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONS:u2022 Good verbal and written communication skills.u2022 Flexible hours including nights and weekendsu2022 Ability to listen and follow instructionsu2022 Ability to work well with the publicu2022 Ability to work with and get along with other employees PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: + Work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force + Work is generally performed in a moderately noisy location + This position requires substantial long periods of time standing up and walking + Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions extreme cold, heat, and rain + Able to withstand large crowds NOTE : The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
