Join our team of seasoned professionals and become a part of the fabric of the New York food scene.Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking Back of the house (Dishwashers AND/OR Porters) to join our Team!This role is responsible for a variety of tasks including the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the store location, supporting various departments, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform general cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dispose garbage, sweep, mop, clean and maintain bathrooms etc.Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and display standards in compliance with Citarellapolicies and food safety/sanitation handling proceduresLoad and unload store delivery trucksAssist store teams with inventory maintenanceAssist with store merchandising and layout as neededPerform minor repairs and respond to emergency maintenance requests as neededProvide exceptional customer service and fulfill customer requests as neededOther reasonably assigned duties as per business needRequirementsExcellent customer service skills and a professional demeanorAbility to work both independently as well as with a teamEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, carrying, push/pull weightAbility to work in a high-volume, fast paced environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAt Citarella, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
