Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive process improvements for efficient operations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with leadership and contribute to strategic financial initiatives. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead the month-end close process across multiple entities, ensuring financial statements are accurate and prepared in compliance with US standards. u2022 Manage all aspects of revenue recognition in alignment with applicable accounting guidelines. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline operations and meet efficiency targets, such as reducing monthly close timelines. u2022 Review and oversee outputs from core transactional functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with state and local sales and use tax requirements, including preparation and review of necessary documentation. u2022 Develop, document, and implement internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to maintain regulatory standards. u2022 Collaborate with company leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making and operational strategies. u2022 Assist the Controller with parent company reporting, team development initiatives, and strategic financial projects. u2022 Act as a resource for management by translating complex financial data into actionable insights. u2022 Uphold ethical standards and serve as a financial leader within the organization. Requirements u2022 Extensive experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. u2022 Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and best practices. u2022 Expertise in revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Familiarity with managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. u2022 Ability to implement and monitor internal controls and financial policies. u2022 Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with leadership and cross-departmental teams. u2022 Advanced proficiency in accounting software systems, such as Sage Intacct and FloQast.
