Requisition ID: 175063 Job Level: Senior Level Home District/Group: Weeks Marine - Construction Department: Field Operations Market: Marine Employment Type: Full Time Temporary Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for a construction project's overall direction, completion, and financial outcome. Directs and supervises the work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain effective relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc. District Overview Weeks Marineu2019s vast reach and deep expertise, combined with the sheer size and diversity of its equipment fleet, enables the company to serve as a one-stop shop for clients in both the private and governmental sectors, providing exceptional customer service, environmental sensitivity, operational efficiency, and a long-standing commitment to safety. Weeks Marine is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey, and manages a network of regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Guam, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. Location This position will be based out of our District Home Office in Cranford, NJ. Weeks Marine Construction's projects span across the NE region of the US. Responsibilities u2022 Maintain healthy safety culture and compliance with company safety policy u2022 Be responsible for ensuring the project meets or exceeds its financial objectives, by overseeing and monitoring each stage of the development u2022 Coordinates daily/weekly meetings with all the area superintendents and project engineers to develop means and methods, schedule contracting needs and long lead delivery times u2022 Manage all field operations and work sequences in conjunction with the Project Executive u2022 Review project estimate or plan to determine estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project u2022 Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections. Also, review, approve, and negotiate change orders u2022 Anticipate project needs with sufficient lead-time to avoid delays of production. o Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, works closely with Project Executive and HR team to manage the relationship with staff and craft u2022 Form and lead an effective project management team, define and delegate management responsibilities, and set goals u2022 Review and control of work planning process by project team u2022 Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise u2022 Be an effective leader, communicate with department leads regarding work scopes u2022 Ensure project superintendents understand and execute the work as required u2022 Ensure safety, quality, and production are maintained Responsible for project closeout. Secure loose ends by finishing paperwork, obtaining retainages, supporting supervisors, and expediting claims Qualifications u2022 Ability to travel and relocate as needed u2022 10+ years' experience in all aspects of managing construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes - specifically working in Infrastructure, Bridges, Docks, and Marine. u2022 An undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related degree is preferred u2022 Ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings u2022 Work independently as well as part of a team u2022 Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done u2022 Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies u2022 Effective oral and written communication skills u2022 Strong organization/time management skills #LI-LH1 Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
