Spreading chicken manure on fields. Load and unloadcrops and farm materials. May operate and perform minor maintenance andrepairs on farm vehicles, implements and equipment. May repair fences,greenhouses and other farm buildings and structures. Perform farm, fieldand shed sanitation duties. Mow grass and operate trimmer around farmbuildings. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal helpduring planting and harvesting. Operate farm vehicles to haul crops anddrive other farmworkers from place to place around the farm properties(including on public roads to reach farmers fields) during the workday.May operate truck with GVWR of less than 13 tons to deliver cropsproduced on the farm (in its unmanufactured state) to storage or tomarket or to a carrier for transportation to market. Though not a hiringrequirement, if a worker drives a company vehicle during the period ofemployment then at the time of operating the company vehicle the drivermust possess a valid drivers license issued by a U.S. state or foreignequivalent and operate the company vehicle in accordance with thelicense restrictions and vehicle classifications applicable to thatlicense. Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job isoutdoors and continues in all types of weather. Workers may be requestedto submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker.Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result inimmediate termination. All testing will occur post-hire and is not apart of the interview process. Negative result may be required post-hireand before commencing work. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to shoulderheight repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 75lbs. in field. Must not hinder another workers productivity. Use ofpersonal cell phone or other personal electronic device during workinghours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergenciesand violation may result in immediate termination. Requires three monthsverifiable prior farm worker experience in the crop activities listed.Must commit to work the entire contract period.
