Buffalo. Assistant Manager. Elmwood Taco and Subs (ETS). Full Time. Benefits.ETS Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and leading the restaurant during the times the Assistant Manager is working, exercising independent judgment in accordance with ETS' culture, workplace rules and procedures to make appropriate decisions regarding people (including employee hiring and discipline, as well as customer issues that arise), inventory (food, paper products, chemicals etc.), and the building, equipment and financial management of the Company.Direct Report: Co-Owners and the General Manager.Manage, Discipline and Lead: Team MembersYearly Tasks:1.Develop and implement standard operating procedures.2.Develop and execute training programs for the team.3.Build and maintain team, customer service and kitchen team through recruiting, hiring and employee discipline, when needed.4.Manage labor costs within the restaurant budget by exercising independent judgment regarding the staffing level of the shifts the Assistant Manager is directly supervising.Daily Tasks: Supervise restaurant operations, including all employees on a shift so that customers receive fast, friendly and efficient service and delicious food in an exceptionally clean restaurant.1.Exercise best independent judgment to ensure that the ETS Handbook, ETS Menu Item Descriptions and all ETS policies are followed through active encouragement and employee discipline, when needed.2.FOOD: Oversee team members preparation of food to ETS menu specifications; monitor expiration dates, organization of boxes/inventory and overall food quality3.CUSTOMER SERVICE: Oversee team members processing of customer orders to ensure fast delivery of the correct orders in accordance with ETS specifications for menu items and provide team members with critical feedback on what they do well and what they can improve upon to make customers experience exceptional. Create meaningful relationships with our regular customers.STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES: Oversee team members procedures that support our maintenance objectives on each shift.1.Ensure all shift paperwork is complete.2.Exercise best independent judgment to address customer issues and complaints in accordance with ETS existing procedures.3.Handle employee interviews, hiring decisions with the General Manager, employee on-boarding and training of new employees.4.Fairly address any employee discipline issue (including employee attendance, misconduct or theft) using independent judgment in accordance with ETS policies, practices and procedures.5.Address any inventory issue in accordance with ETS policies, practices and procedures.6.Address any equipment issue in accordance with ETS policies, practices and procedures.7.Identify problems or areas of improvement and make suggestions regarding management of the restaurant to ownership and General Manager.8.Be proficient in all emergency protocols: alarms, robbery, fire, cash register9.Problems.10.Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.Schedule Requirements:Work 36-40 hours per week including Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Available for both day and night shifts when needed, roughly 9am-5pm and 5pm-1am.Closed on New Years Day, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
