JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsible to assist the agency with recruitment andparticipation in the ELEVATE program. Assists Child Support Specialistsby promoting employment and training services offered through theELEVATE grant. The ELEVATE grant addresses employability and trainingneeds of participants to strengthen the remittance of consistent childsupport payments. Makes referrals to employers, training programs andother community resource agencies. Provides job coaching to unemployedor underemployed participants. This is an LTE position which means thereare no benefits given with the role. Essential Duties Identifiespotentially eligible participants for enrollment in the ELEVATE program.Conducts outreach by phone, text, email, mail, and in person topotential participants to provide information regarding the ELEVATEprogram and the child support enforcement process. Promotes ELEVATEservices offered through the grant which include but are not limited tojob seeking skills, resume writing, interviewing skills, job leads,vocational and interest assessments, and co-parenting classes. Schedulesappointments for enrollment with potentially eligible itiates outreach to employers by phone, email, mail and in person tomarket the ELEVATE program as well as participant skills. Provides bothindividual as well as group presentations regarding the benefits of theELEVATE program. Serves as a liaison to develop and maintain strongpartnerships with participants, case workers, community agencies and thecontracted parenting provider. Maintains an understanding of the childsupport program, in general, as well as services available throughELEVATE. Refers participants to other community resource agencies asnecessary. Assists participants in understanding as well as strategizingshort- and long-term employment goals by utilizing the ELEVATE programas a means to achieve this. Provides guidance and assistance toparticipants with the job application process, onboarding, and dealingwith basic challenges of obtaining and maintaining employment. Deliverswork supports in accordance with agency policy based upon participantneed. Responds to various inquiries from participants about the childsupport program. Refers questions to the ELEVATE Coordinator orappropriate caseworker, as necessary. Enters and maintains case andparticipant information into the KIDS system. Collects, analyzes andinterprets data. Prepares, completes and submits reports regardingactivities in a timely manner. OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge ofcomputerized software systems, internet access and database,spreadsheets, and word processing programs. Knowledge of terms and formsused when establishing and enforcing child support. Ability to examineand appraise documents and files for determining any required actions asit relates to job function. Knowledge of employment services and labormarket. Ability to conduct workshops, presentations, and public speakingengagements to promote the program. Ability to understand and followcomplex oral and written instructions. Ability to conduct interviews,interpret court orders, explain basic procedures, and obtain cooperationin difficult situations to facilitate the compliance of participants.Ability to type at a minimum rate of 25 net words per minute. Ability toanswer inquiries and complaints effectively and maintain competence instressful situations. Ability to learn and apply the specializedknowledge and skills of the department as well as other communityresource agencies. Ability to utilize a variety of office equipment.Ability to work independently, accept responsibility, and exerciseindependent judgment within the scope of defined duties andresponsibilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with staff, attorneys, community and governmen agencies,participants and the general public. Ability to communicate effectivelyboth orally, whether over the phone or in person, and in writing.Ability to plan and organize duties and responsibilities.
