Veterinary Oncology TechnicianWelcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC)! We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring seamless patient flow while performing a wide range of advanced clinical duties, including radiographs, laboratory diagnostics, and the safe administration of chemotherapy.This position calls for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and a deep commitment to empathetic client communication—whether in person, over the phone, or electronically. You will also be responsible for maintaining thorough, accurate, and timely medical records within the hospitals PIMS and Whiteboard systems, helping ensure the highest standards of continuity and quality of pensation:$25 - $35 hourly, based on experienceAnticipated Schedule:Full TimeMonday to Friday7:30am-4pmKey Areas of Responsibility: Facilitate the doctors schedule to align with patient care needs. Timely, thorough and accurate patient care client interactions including collecting history for appointments and medication management and refills.Ensuring a smooth and excellent client experience through communication, schedule management, and answering questions/concerns.Perform lab work, radiographs, and sample submissionsPerform general anesthesia and sedation monitoring for procedures Appropriately handle chemotherapy medications per hospital standardsProficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture skillsAdminister chemotherapy treatments as directed by OncologistMaintains hospital cleanliness by performing general cleaning duties: Laundry, sweeping, mopping, etc. Other duties as needed QualificationsMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required in a surgical setting Registered Veterinary Technician, in Colorado, or the ability to become registered upon hire.Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!Preferred Qualifications:At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Specialty Hospital Experience with performing anesthesia Ability to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.Excellent communication.
