View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to CENTERS Benefits (click link to view).Essential ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and support the mission and values of ChargerRECAssist in the overall success and development of ChargerREC programs and facility operations of the Beckerman Recreation CenterUnderstand, articulate, enforce, and comply with ChargerREC policies and proceduresServe as front line customer service representatives to members, guests, and visitorsProvide a welcoming and inclusive environment to members, guests, participants, and fellow staffEffectively communicate to members, guests, participants, and fellow staffArrive on time and prepared to all assigned shiftsEnsure staff coverage for any assigned shifts which the employee cannot workActively participate in meetings/trainingsComplete required reports and checklistsAssist with setup/breakdown for ChargerREC programs/operations and external eventsServe as responder and/or support staff for emergencies as required by position and trainingOther duties as requiredPosition Specific ResponsibilitiesOversee the on-site operations of the Beckerman Recreation CenterSupervise and lead on-site staff membersUtilize critical thinking to resolve issues and support fellow staffCommunicate with professional staff during non-business hours as neededAssist in membership and administrative operations and projects as assignedEffectively process memberships, sales, equipment rentals, and other customer service related transactionsComplete general and assigned cleaning duties including compliance with PPE standardsAssist in daily opening/closing of the facilityComplete administrative tasks and projects as requiredEssential Qualifications & SkillsDependability to arrive on time and be prepared for assigned shiftsAbility to work flexible hoursAbility to provide exceptional customer serviceWillingness and ability to enforce policiesAbility to complete several tasks at once with frequent interruptionAbility to demonstrate critical thinking and resilience when neededAbility to demonstrate leadership when neededAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work in a diverse and inclusive environmentAbility to provide a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to accept and improve upon constructive feedback from supervisors and professional staffPosition Specific Qualifications & SkillsPrior experience working with ChargerREC as a Graduate AssistantAbility to operate computer and membership softwareCPR/AED/First aid certification preferred.
