All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and proceduresPromote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric cultureSupport Project Manager who manages data center construction, miscellaneous technical construction projects and operations workAssist in managing project cost, including budget, forecast, commitments, accruals, Work-In-Place, milestones, WBS, progress, risks and KPIsUtilize and maintain historical cost databases (eBuilder or similar) through input of budgets, commitments, work in place, invoices and forecastsProvide weekly, monthly and adhoc project status reports (cost, schedule, risk and manpower report)Conduct accrual analysis and coordinate with payment processing teams to track the status of vendor paymentsReview invoices for accuracy and trend analysis; monitor open POs, calculate expected cost impact and initiate action(s) to resolveWork with P6 Scheduler and Project Manager for progress, warning signs, identify critical path and alignment between cost and scheduleManage the project change control process and maintain the baseline and current budget to reflect approved changesProvide coaching, development and guidance to team members, encouraging them to promote a Lean culture and to develop with emerging technologiesDrive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site to align with deployed corporate strategic goalsThis position is generally expected to require minimal overnight travel (5%). The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 OpticsAdditional Responsibilities: As identified and assignedBA/BS in construction management, finance, engineering or equivalentMinimum of 5 years experience in construction and project planning for multi-project construction programsExperience in construction specifications, construction drawings and other project documentation including RFIs, submittals, payment applications and change ordersExperience with Primavera P6, MS Excel, PowerPointExperience with cost control tooling (such as eBuilder, Procore, or others)Experience communicating financial status and schedule details from multiple construction sites to project managersDecision Making and Judgment: The position involves projects and/or assignments requiring considerable decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans and schedules. Must be proficient in problem solving and root cause analysis to determine best feasible solutionsKnowledge of structured cabling industry including technology, quality and safety standardsAbility to support the Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager in leading, developing and managing field employeesAbility to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departmentsStrong communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skillsMust be able to learn and support new and quickly evolving technologiesAbility to research information and identify solutions regarding technical issuesGood work habits under pressure, flexible during times of changeAbility to work within deadlines while maintaining high work quality including ability to prioritize and multi-taskAbility to perform duties in a professional manner and appearanceEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the positionAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerDemonstrated team-work and versatility in integrating into multiple work environmentsProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio; Primavera P6 preferred)Competitive payOpportunities for professional development and career growthBICSI training facilitiesA supportive and inclusive work environmentHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysThe standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces.
