Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and support bookkeeping activities in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tax preparation and client services effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise bookkeepers and provide guidance on monthly client accounts. u2022 Manage onboarding for new clients and handle any necessary back-work. u2022 Oversee tax preparation for assigned businesses and individuals, including year-end clients. u2022 Ensure income tax files are well-organized and maintained. u2022 Deliver training to client employees to support their financial processes. u2022 Identify opportunities to expand firm services and lead efforts to implement them. u2022 Monitor bookkeeper productivity and payroll processing to ensure targets are met. u2022 Review client time reports to assess efficiency and address areas for improvement. u2022 Take corrective measures when monthly production percentages fall below expectations. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation. u2022 Experience with journal entries and accurate financial documentation. u2022 Ability to supervise and guide bookkeeping staff effectively. u2022 Skilled in organizing and maintaining tax-related files. u2022 Adept at analyzing productivity data and implementing corrective actions. u2022 Excellent communication skills for client training and service expansion. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
