Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant and part of the team, you will be instrumental in managing and executing our financial processes. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing ledgers, and supporting audit activities. This Senior Accountant role presents a long-term contract employment opportunity. What you get to do every single day: u2022 Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables. u2022 Oversee the general ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), and payables ledgers within the accounting system. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Support the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. u2022 Conduct account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy. u2022 Assist in managing the accounts receivable team. u2022 Review and suggest improvements for current accounting practices and procedures. u2022 Provide support during quarterly and year-end financial audit activities. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data. u2022 Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions based on account status. Requirements Other requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to: u2022 Possess strong skills in Bank Reconciliations u2022 Proven experience with General Ledger management u2022 Proficient in creating and maintaining Journal Entries u2022 Profound knowledge of Microsoft Excel u2022 Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures u2022 Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field u2022 Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting role u2022 CPA certification is preferred u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team u2022 Strong attention to detail and accuracy u2022 Proficiency in accounting software u2022 Understanding of accounting principles and regulations u2022 Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
