You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. District Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers seamlessly transitions solutions from design to construction through the collaborative efforts of Design Engineering, Design Management, Proposals, Estimating, and Integrated Project Controls. Our construction-focused engineering approach involves a multidisciplinary team working together to maximize value for clients by improving schedules, controlling costs, and minimizing risk on infrastructure projects. Responsibilities u2022 Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.). u2022 Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market. u2022 Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans. u2022 Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers. u2022 Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process. u2022 Performing site visits and investigations as needed. Qualifications u2022 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred u2022 GPA above 3.0 preferred u2022 0-2 yearsu2019 experience in estimating u2022 Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) u2022 Possess strong mathematical and computer skills u2022 Must be able to meet deadlines u2022 Effective oral and written communication skills u2022 Candidates must possess a strong work ethic u2022 Work independently as well as part of a team u2022 Strong interpersonal and organizational skills u2022 Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies u2022 Must be willing to travel as the job requires Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. u2022 Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
