You'll perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical associated with the water treatment plants and related facilities equipment. You'll oversee day-to-day maintenance, repairs, new installations, and improvement projects associated with the WTP. In this role, you'll be directly responsible for contributing to the asset management plan and contractual deliverables pertaining to facility maintenance and standards, as well as the maintenance and department performance for the facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:u2022 Planning, scheduling, and directing the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds.u2022 Assists project manager in department budgeting and estimating cost and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements.u2022 May perform duties of other department supervisors in their absence if required, including approving work assignments, scheduling shifts, preparing work schedule and other duties assigned.u2022 Reads, interprets, and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations. Reviews drawings and equipment specifications as required for client improvement projects.u2022 Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water treatment plant equipment and related equipment.u2022 Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences. Prepare detailed reports and proposals required to facilitate the duties of a maintenance supervisor.u2022 Provides on-the-job training to staff and provides direction as required to facilitate repairs when needed.u2022 Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical machinery or equipment as needed.u2022 Is proficient in the repair, maintenance and fabrication methods required of a supervisor.u2022 Performs other duties as required.Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and weu2019ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the worldu2019s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.#OMFS #BIA #OurJacobs #BoldlyMovingForward #ChallengeAccepted u2022 Possess a valid driveru2019s license with no major infractionsu2022 Experience supervising or in a leadership position.u2022 Experience with general business management practicesu2022 Fleet management, experience with heavy equipment maintenance and operations.u2022 Experience with CMMS and the general practices and methods used to manage a large industrial system.u2022 Knowledge of computer software includes but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and to enter data into a computerized maintenance management system.u2022 Knowledge of safe work practices, supervisory training, and federal and state laws as they pertain to the water industry.Ideally, You'll Also Have:u2022 Trade school education with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment and metal fabrication or college degree in a relatable field.u2022 Operate plant Process Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.u2022 Knowledge of principles of supervision and training.u2022 Five+ (5) years of experience with knowledge of the principles, methods, tools, and materials employed in the general operations, maintenance and repair of advanced electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including: vehicles, electric motors, generators, pumps, and related equipment associated with water/wastewater systems.Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
